Swadeshi Textiles Private Limited is a textiles product company. The origin of the establishment was in 1970 by Late Mr. Murlidhar Talreja and Late Mr. Suresh Talreja. What started out as a trading business during the license Raj in India, has now flourished into a manufacturing firm (since 2001), thereby capitalizing on the end of the global quota regime in the year 2000. Today the company has a composite manufacturing unit in the vibrant state of Gujarat. The company is run by professionals, with close monitoring by the promoters. Being a manufacturing concern, the company is interested in being a solutions provider to prospective clients. Having established a reliable manufacturing base, the company is now looking to expand its market.

The company has a capacity of manufacturing 500,000 meters of wider width fabric monthly. For narrower width fabrics the capacity will increase proportionately. On the processing side, the unit can process 75,000 meters per day. Currently 60% of this capacity is being used to market products under the company's name and the balance is being used to cater to other brands.

The primary products STPL sells are fusible interlinings and bed sheet fabrics. Currently STPL manufactures shirting (yarn dyed and piece dyed), suiting (fibre dyed and piece dyed) and some industrial fabrics as well. Further, the company is in the process of launching its branded sheet-sets in the doemstic market. The company has an expertise of handling various fibres ranging from cotton, polyester, viscose, bamboo, polypropylene and blends. 25% of the weaving capacity is used for Dobby Fabrics and a further 25% for Selvedge Writers.

STPL still has customers for its primary products since their establishment by the founders, making them 40 year old relationships. These are doemstic clients spread across the length and breadth of the country. The company caters to domestic bed-sheet manufacturers, garment manufacturers and also finds its way to several institutions in the country (namely health care, defense and hospitality).
